His passion for serving his community and seeing the world have taken him from Los Angeles, where he was the official team physician of the LA Blues SC, to the Philippines, where he worked as a volunteer surgeon in impoverished communities. The prolific research work he has done over the course of his career (much of which was conducted at such prestigious organizations as the Arthritis Institute) has made it easy for Dr. Gendelman to maintain a cutting-edge knowledge of medicine and technology.
Dr. Vlad Gendelman received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Southern California and received his Doctorate from University of California at Irvine. Dr. Gendelman went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. During his time in Brooklyn, NY he has served as a team physician of Sheepshead Bay High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Teams.
Dr. Gendelman is licensed to practice medicine in state of California, and is board certified with American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Gendelman holds membership in various professional organizations, including the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the California Medical Association, California Orthopedic Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Gendelman has completed extensive research and is a published author, contributing his expertise to the field of Orthopedic Surgery.
